Job Description Summary:

The Fundraising Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable intelligence that fuels organizational growth and strengthens donor engagement strategies. This role leads advanced analytics projects — including the creation of descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive modeling scores — to enhance both major giving and annual giving pipelines.

This position delivers high-quality analysis, develops clear and compelling reports and visualizations, and ensures data integrity across the donor database. They will utilize their analytical and statistical skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. The role is highly collaborative, serving as a trusted partner to philanthropy leadership while also working independently to drive data-informed decision-making.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead data-driven initiatives that directly impact OhioHealth Foundation’s ability to engage donors, optimize campaigns, and advance its philanthropic mission.

Responsibilities And Duties:

1. Data Analysis & Modeling
Design, implement, and maintain in-house descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive modeling scores to strengthen major gift and annual giving pipelines.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fundraising campaigns, donor behaviors, and philanthropic trends.
Translate data findings into actionable insights that inform strategy and decision-making.

2. Reporting & Visualization
Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics and trends.
Present findings to foundation leadership and fundraising teams in clear, concise, and actionable formats.

3. Database Integrity
Collaborate with the Sr. Database Administrator to maintain accurate, complete, and consistent donor data.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational policies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and campaign planning through accurate data insights.

4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data science, fundraising analytics, and predictive modeling.
Recommend and implement improvements to analytics processes, systems, and data quality measures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Business Analytics/Data Analytics (Required)

Additional Job Description:

  • Degree in data science, analytics, statistics, business, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM/database management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience creating in-house modeling scores.
  • Strong understanding of donor behaviors and fundraising cycles.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and confidentiality.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of philanthropy and donor-centric fundraising practices and donor behaviors.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience with fundraising CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with nonprofit operations and fundraising best practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver results on time.
