Job Description Summary:

This position was created to facilitate progress toward strategic and operational goals for Service lines throughout the system, in alignment with organizational, clinical program, and care site divisions.

This position reports to and provides project management/consultative support to the Neuroscience Service Line and works closely with the system's leadership, hospital leadership, and physicians to understand the service line market and seek opportunities for growth and expansion. This position will apply project management knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, and project management tools and techniques to meet the identified project requirements.

Under the direction of the System Director, the advisor will work collaboratively to gather the required information to develop/present/execute a project/program plan to benefit the department. Will participate in facilitation of growth and development and outreach planning for designated divisions and markets and will have shared accountability for planning, scheduling, reporting, budgeting, tracking, and executing the plans.

This position exists to support the rapidly growing nature of the program and the volume of potential growth opportunities that crosses multiple service lines.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Works collaboratively with physician and administrative leaders to determine potential program and technology benefits. Independently researches proposed ideas via interviews, planned vendor visits, literature searches, site visits, etc. Supports service line divisions and chiefs by providing administrative support for division planning and meetings. Also facilitates division in program advancement planning, outreach and growth and development.

Develops business plans to support potential growth opportunities. Business plans include, but not limited to, analysis of existing market forces, background of current state and proposed solution.

Initiates and plans multiple projects simultaneously. Works independently to determine key stakeholders and initiate the project/program plan. Gathers information from multiple areas including physicians, key hospital leaders, business/financial support and administration. Uses the gathered information to develop/maintain project/program plans, project tracking, budget preparation, meeting planning, status reporting, and change management initiatives.

Provides project leadership, consultation and implementation to execute new projects/programs and major enhancements to the existing program. Coordinates this implementation with potential users; physicians, patients, clinical staff and other departments outside of heart and vascular services. Is able to monitor progress and identify potential barriers to success. Reports progress to key stakeholders as requested.

Remains current with service line market information. Understands the technology advancements and potential benefit from such enhancements to our program. Contributes as an active member of the leadership team as well as physician led committees.

Independently closes project/program initiatives and supports clinicians and operations managers with the transition. Continues to work with operating departments to ensure ongoing success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required), Master's DegreePMP - Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute

Business development, hospital or outpatient operations, , strategic planning,  project management experience preferred.  Strong organizational skills, strong understanding of computer applications (Microsoft Office suite). 3 to 5 years of experience in business development and/or project management.
